Pros: I bought this external harddrive 2 weeks ago and it has more than met my expectations. I have completely filled the drive and have had no problems with reading the data off it. I have not had the noise problems alot of other people report, i believe Seagate addressed people's concerns and have fixed the newer drives. Transfer speed is a consistent 20MB/s, filling the harddrive does take more then a couple of hours. If you're going to be copying large amounts of data to and from the harddrive frequently, you may wish to look for one with a faster transfer method such as esata. Otherwise you can just leave the harddrive on overnight as i did. The harddrive looks great and has an unobtrusive status light which allows you to follow what the harddrive is doing at any particular time. This is useful when leaving the harddive on overnight to copy data across.
